Weddings

  • For the Ceremony, typically there will be 4/5 songs required. An entrance song as you walk down the aisle. This is usually something romantic and meaningful to you as a couple, though I can suggest songs that typically work well if you’re unsure. Then you will need between 1 and 3 songs during the signing of the register. Usually 2 will more than suffice, but it’s worth having a backup just in case. Then finally the exit song, normally something a little bit more upbeat and joyous to celebrate your union as a couple.

In addition, and included if you wish it, I can play 20-30 minutes of background music whilst people arrive - this can be instrumental or sung to set the mood. Some couples prefer the musician start as the bride walks down the aisle to emphasise the magic of that moment, but it’s entirely up to you.

Included as part of this package I can learn your aisle (entry) song and exit song for you at no extra cost.

  • This is 1x 60 minute or 2x 40 minutes of music while guests mingle after the ceremony has taken place. This is usually relaxed in nature as guests will likely be chatting to each other. From personal experience this is often one of the best things to have your musician play for. Wedding days are long and having entertainment here makes the day feel less static.

Please note that often the bride and groom will likely be having photos taken at this point and may miss a portion of this, but it’s a great way to create a beautiful atmosphere. If I’ve been playing your ceremony, please allow a small grace period for me to move my equipment if the reception is in a different area to the ceremony. I may bring two different sets of audio equipment to help minimise the changeover time.

  • This comprises anywhere from 1x 60 minute set or 2x 40 minute sets of music depending on your preference. You will usually start the night with a first dance which, if needed, I will learn for you as part of this package. Then the party starts with a mix of upbeat numbers from a range of eras to try to get people on the dance floor. I will try to get in as many of your favourites as I can, though I also have a good idea what works and what doesn’t for events like this and will try to throw in music that pleases everyone.

  • The complete works! I’ll be there right through the ceremony, drinks reception and evening party, providing everything above. Your live music needs are taken care of!

Hi there! Thanks so much for your interest in having me as your musician for your wedding day! Here’s a brief overview to guide you through my prices and the structure of what might happen during your big day - from a musical point of view.

There are usually 3 parts of the day that require musical entertainment. This is of course flexible according to your needs, but it gives you a good idea of what usually works and how it fits in to the day overall.
